Software part is thorough Robot studio. The Robot Studio is a PC application for modeling, offline programming, and simulation of robot cells. Hardware part is Robot manipulator (An ABB industrial robot), Flex pendant (The remote controller that is connected to the control module), and\u00a0device (a\u00a0Tool usually mounted on the robot manipulator to allow it\u00a0to perform specific tasks, such as gripping, cutting or welding.)<\/p>\n<p>The tool can also be stationary. The specific tool that is used for this project is <strong>Vectrino Sensor<\/strong> which its task is Data Acquisition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABB<\/strong> (ASEA Brown Boveri) is a Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation headquarter in Zurich, and also Switzerland that operates mainly in robotics, power, heavy electrical equipment, and also automation technology areas.<\/p>\n<p>This robot is able to move in 6 different axes. The most significant part for programming this kind of robot is defining accurate and proper Coordinates based on the location of the Robot and the defined limited movement of its arm.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-423 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/automatisierung.fh-aachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/The-ABB-IRB-6600-robot-with-its-six-revolute-joints-Axes-1-3-position-the-end-effector-Copy-273x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"273\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automatisierung.fh-aachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/The-ABB-IRB-6600-robot-with-its-six-revolute-joints-Axes-1-3-position-the-end-effector-Copy-273x300.png 273w, https:\/\/automatisierung.fh-aachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/The-ABB-IRB-6600-robot-with-its-six-revolute-joints-Axes-1-3-position-the-end-effector-Copy-768x845.png 768w, https:\/\/automatisierung.fh-aachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/The-ABB-IRB-6600-robot-with-its-six-revolute-joints-Axes-1-3-position-the-end-effector-Copy.png 850w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 273px) 100vw, 273px\" \/>There are different coordinates such as: tool center coordinate system, robot studio world coordinate system, the base coordinate system, work object coordinate system, and user coordinate system.<\/p>\n<p>The project is to program the robot to consider all environmental safeties and the robot itself, according to the input from a user for moving the robot through the channel that it is located on. The program is to recognize the coordinates which are defined by programmer, and the user enters targets.
